गडचिरोली पोलीस दलाने भामरागड येथील कोपर्शी जंगल परिसरातून नक्षलवाद्यांनी लपवून ठेवलेला स्फोटकांचा आणि शस्त्रास्त्रांचा मोठा साठा जप्त केला आहे. सुरक्षा दलांच्या सतर्कतेमुळे नक्षलवाद्यांचा मोठा कट उधळला गेला असून, जप्त करण्यात आलेली स्फोटके सुरक्षा नियमांनुसार घटनास्थळीच नष्ट करण्यात आली आहेत.
Maharashtra | Gadchiroli Police recovered and destroyed a large cache of explosives and other material allegedly hidden by Naxals in the Koparshi forest area under Bhamragad subdivision during a special anti-Maoist operation.
According to police, the operation was launched on October 6, following intelligence that Naxals had concealed explosives and other material in the forest with the intention of targeting security forces.
Personnel from the Special Operations Squad and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) carried out an extensive search of the area.
During the operation, police recovered three rocket launchers, two single-shot rifles, two 12-bore rifles, three 12-bore live cartridges, 10 detonators, 150 metres of cable wire, nine magazines, 10 cookers, five walkie-talkies, 12 walkie-talkie chargers and other Maoist-related material. The recovered explosives and hazardous material were destroyed at the spot under prescribed safety procedures.

सुरक्षा दलांना लक्ष्य करण्याच्या उद्देशाने नक्षलवाद्यांनी कोपर्शीच्या जंगलात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर स्फोटके आणि इतर साहित्य लपवून ठेवल्याची गोपनीय माहिती पोलिसांना मिळाली होती. या माहितीच्या आधारे ६ ऑक्टोबर रोजी पोलिसांनी तातडीने विशेष नक्षलविरोधी शोध मोहीम हाती घेतली. या मोहिमेत ‘विशेष कृती दल’ (Special Operations Squad) आणि ‘बॉम्ब शोधक व नाशक पथक’ (BDDS) यांच्या जवानांनी जंगलात व्यापक शोधमोहीम राबवली.
शोधमोहिमेदरम्यान पोलिसांनी ३ रॉकेट लाँचर्स, २ सिंगल-शॉट रायफल्स, २ बारा-बोअर रायफल्स आणि ३ जिवंत काडतुसे, १० डिटोनेटर्स आणि १५० मीटर केबल वायर, ९ मॅगझिन्स, १० कुकर (आयईडी बनवण्यासाठी वापरले जाणारे), ५ वॉकी-टॉकी आणि १२ वॉकी-टॉकी चार्जर्स, नक्षलवादी साहित्य व इतर दैनंदिन वस्तू जप्त करण्यात आल्या आहेत.
जप्त केलेली स्फोटके आणि धोकादायक साहित्य अत्यंत संवेदनशील असल्याने बीडीडीएस (BDDS) पथकाने सर्व सुरक्षा निकषांचे पालन करत घटनास्थळीच सुरक्षितपणे नष्ट केले. या कारवाईमुळे नक्षलवाद्यांचे मोठे नुकसान झाले असून, परिसरात सुरक्षा दलांकडून शोधमोहीम अधिक तीव्र करण्यात आली आहे.
